New Theatre Room, Historic Lewes Maritime Museum, 101 Adams Ave., Lewes, DE 19958
How did England manage to lose her American colonies? Author and historian Thomas Guay explores the mounting grievances, changing loyalties, and seemingly small incidents that gradually transformed political disagreement into revolution. Guay, author of the historical novel Chesapeake Bound, brings the era to life with insights into the people and culture of the colonial Chesapeake. The program also includes a taste of fiddle tunes from the period, offering a glimpse into the music that helped shape everyday life on the eve of the American Revolution.
