The LHS Holiday Village & Market will bring cheer to the Lewes Historical Society's main campus at 110 Shipcarpenter Street on Friday, December 2nd from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, December 3rd
The LHS Holiday Village & Market will bring cheer to the Lewes Historical Society's main campus at 110 Shipcarpenter Street on Friday, December 2nd from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, December 3rd. On Friday evening, stop by the Historic Main Campus for an early-bird preview of selected holiday vendors and listen to the music of Blarney Pilgrims who will be providing entertainment for our First Friday crowd in the Sussex tavern.
On Saturday, enjoy shopping with the full complement of holiday vendors, buy fresh greenery to liven your home, gathered and packaged by the LHS Garden Gang, lend an ear to enjoy favorite Christmas readings by historic characters, cozy up by the fire while listening to period carolers, and view historic chocolate and tea demonstrations, all at this family-friendly event. Brittingham Farms will be on hand with a sheep demonstration and Humane Animal Partners will bring a few special furry friends to join in the fun!
The GFWC Zwaanendael Women’s Club will be on campus to hold their Holiday Bazaar and Raffle; the Club will offer a Bake Sale, Raffles, Ornaments, Mystery Gifts, Gift Card Trees, and a Silent Auction featuring a Guitar and a Lynn Haney Santa. Top off your visit with a cup of hot cider or a cold ale inside the historic Sussex Tavern at Rabbits Ferry House and transport to a warm refuge on a cold winter’s day in the early 1800s
Event fee - $5.00 per person, children 12 and under are FREE.

Lewes is the place to be on December 3. In addition to the LHS Holiday Tour and Market, Lewes churches and civic organizations will have events going on as well. The Lewes Christmas Parade will take place from 5-6:30 pm. After the parade, you can wander over to Zwaanendael Park for tree-lighting and caroling. Plan to spend the entire day!!!
