The LHS Holiday Village & Market will bring cheer to the Lewes Historical Society's main campus at 110 Shipcarpenter Street on Friday, December 2nd from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, December 3rd. Shop with holiday vendors, buy fresh greenery to liven your home, lend an ear to enjoy favorite holiday readings by historic characters, and view historic chocolate and tea demonstrations, all at this family-friendly event. Take a cozy horse and carriage ride through the Lewes Historic District; there is a special pony cart for the little shoppers. Top off your visit with a cup of hot cider (with or without...) or a cold ale inside the historic Sussex Tavern at Rabbits Ferry House and transport to a warm refuge on a cold winter’s day in the early 1800s.
2022 sponsorships include The Lee Ann Wilkinson Group, UBS Financial Services, Delmarva Power-An Excelon Company, anad Delmarva Public Media.

Community Food Drive!
Before you come, please consider bringing along a gift of food to "stuff" in a boat provided by Nautical Academies Captain's School. Please note that we are only able to accept non-perishable items. Many of our local families also struggle to care for their four-legged family members. Pet food donations are welcome, and many other household items, including toiletries, are appreciated. The need in our community continues to grow and this partnership aims to help connect families with food insecurities to valuable resources during the holiday season.
Cash donations are welcome; one hundred percent of all donations will go to the Cape Henlopen Food Basket. If you have any questions, please give us a call at 302.645.7670 x 207.
LHS extends a heartfelt thank you to the Tumas Family, Owners of the Nautical Academics Captain's School located on Pilottown Road in Lewes, for partnering with LHS to provide this opportunity to our community. More information on Nautical Academies can be found here https://www.nauticalacademics.com/
The boat will be located on the historic main campus at
110 Shipcarpenter Street
Lewes, Delaware 19966

Proceeds from the Holiday Home Tour and the Holiday Village and Market will benefit educational and preservation programs of The Lewes Historical Society.
