The beautiful campus at 110 Shipcarpenter Street will also play host to fun and informative activities for children of all ages. Richard LaMotte, author of the books “Pure Sea Glass, Discovering Nature’s Vanishing Gems” and “The Lure of Sea Glass” will be on hand from 1 PM to 4PM Saturday, to sign copies of his books and offer glass-shard identification. On Sunday, Nancy LaMotte will provide glass-shard identification. Corinne Litzenberg, author of the children’s book “S is for Sea Glass”, orchestrates the Children’s Corner activities that include Native American “jingle shells” and a create-your-own Cape Henlopen Lighthouse notecard!

The very impressive collection of sea-glass-collector-extraordinaire Stu Jacobs will be on display at the historic Burton-Ingram House, c. 1789, along with examples of antique glassware whose missing friends may be the source of some of your small sea glass treasures.

Throughout the weekend the air will be filled with the sound of live music! At 9:30 AM On Saturday, June 4th Duo Different kicks off the weekend’s entertainment with a variety of sounds from Celtic to bluegrass, followed by the cool sounds of The Jazzmen from 12:30-4:00. Sunday morning at 9:30 The Lewesers take the stage, bringing a folk and bluegrass flair to the event. Rounding out the festivities, at 12:30 on Sunday, are Sandy and Stevie D, performing a selection of Motown and Rock classics from their upbeat catalogue.

If all the excitement makes you hungry, the Sea Glass Festival has you covered.
