60 - Minute Read Aloud program for 3rd & 4th Graders

Join the Lewes Historical Society, on three Fridays each month in 2021, for Historic Adventures in Reading. Taking place at the Lewes History Museum’s Family Learning Center, young readers in third and fourth grade can listen and follow along to excerpts of literary classics as they are read aloud. Parents and guardians are welcome!

Each child will learn of the exploits of Captains Nemo, Ahab, and Silver, among others. Every month a different classic novel or selection of poetry will be shared from a different period of America’s history, to educate and entertain one and all. What must life have been like for young readers in our region to have read these very same stories decades ago? Join us on an adventure in reading and find out!

4:30 pm, Fridays beginning February 2021 - Registration is required!

February programs will be held virtually. All other planned dates are scheduled to be held at the Lewes History Museum unless otherwise notified.
