Every month The Lewes Historical Society welcomes locals and visitors alike to join us for our Historic First Friday Event. The Sussex Tavern at the Rabbit's Ferry House comes alive as LHS history interpreters share fascinating tales and ales from the past. The tavern hosts also serve up a selection of period drinks such as Milk Punch, Grog, and Sangaree, to name a few. Guest musicians add ambiance to the intimate setting, where everyone feels welcome. Tavern goers are invited to enjoy the Historic Campus and if there is a nip in the air, the fire pit is beckoning!

Where: Sussex Tavern at the Rabbits Ferry House, located on the Historic Campus at 110 Shipcarpenter Street, Lewes
When: 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM On the First Friday of each month.

Entertainment Schedule

The tavern's popularity makes it a fun and unique setting for HOA groups to book their own "privateā€ tavern nights. Groups can make Sussex Tavern their "neighborhood pub" for an evening.  Events can be tailored to meet the needs of individual groups.   There is a 25-person minimum for a private booking.

The brief video below shows a few images of the Pilotpoint Homeowner's Association event.

If you would like to book the tavern for your own HOA or other group event give us a call at 302-645-7670 x 207!
