Description: Speakers and Presenters have a unique opportunity to share their expertise with the public through a variety of speaking engagements, both on and off site. These speakers will present at programs, such as History Happy Hour, the Lunch and Learn Series, the Speaker Series, and Cape May-Lewes Ferry talks. These speakers will develop thematic programs that educate and inform visitors on a variety of topics relating to the themes of the Society.
Training: Speakers and Presenters will attend general volunteer training as well as have their programs and presentations approved by Society Staff. Once a program is approved, speakers may be invited to share at a variety of events.
Why this position is important: Speakers provide an expert glimpse into a variety of subjects at The Lewes Historical Society. Their formal and informal programs reach a wide variety of audiences and allows the Society to have a greater presence in the community.
