Retail Volunteers

Museum StoreDescription: Retail volunteers are responsible for museum store and ticket sales for a variety of Society programs. These volunteers will also provide visitors with information about The Lewes Historical Society and historic Lewes when necessary. Retail volunteers must be comfortable working with computers for the point of sale system as well as handling retail transactions.

Training: Retail Volunteers will be trained in cash handling and in the types of tours, programs, and items that are sold at the Museum Store. These volunteers will also be trained in Point-of-Sale.

Why this position is important: This position allows the Society to collect revenue for tours, publications, and a variety of merchandise. This revenue is critical to the operation of the Society and helps to supplement operating costs as well as mission-driven programs, such as tours, speaker series and educational programming.
