Members are invited to The Lewes Historical Society's Annual Meeting on Saturday, February 11, 2017, at 10:30am, in the large meeting room at the new Lewes Public Library at 111 Adams Avenue. Dick Carter, Chair of the Delaware Heritage Commission, will offer comments. Enjoy refreshments, elect trustees, review the Society's 2016 activities, tour the new Lewes History Museum at the Margaret H. Rollins Community Center, and see where we hope 2017 leads us. No reservations are required.
Society members may vote for the slate of trustees/officers in person, by email ([email protected]), or by proxy.

Secretary: BJ Clark- 1st year of 1st two year secretary term
Treasurer: Jack Lesher– 1st year of 1st two year treasurer term
Don Matzkin- 1st year of 2nd three year trustee term

Bios for new members for election:
Jim Prettyman is a retired businessman with wide ranging experience in world-wide operations management, long range planning, and research and development. In the communities in which Jim has lived, he has had leadership responsibility for a multitude of civic charities to include efforts in environmental improvement, as well as having been active as Chairman of Georgia Tech’s Materials Science and Engineering Advisory board. He continues to be active as a volunteer for The Lewes Historic Society and is a member of the City’s Ad Hoc committee regarding Annexation processes.
Barbara S. Warnell is Chairperson of The Lewes Historical Society's Christmas Tour of Lewes and serves as a volunteer at the Society’s Antiques Shows. She has also been involved in volunteer services in a variety of museums and other non-profits. She has owned Interior Space Planning and Design Project Management. Ms. Warnell is a past president of the Lewes Chamber of Commerce, former Trustee of the Delaware Art Museum, former member of the Sussex County Arts Council, and sits on the City of Lewes’s Historic Preservation Commission.
