In memory of WILLIAM JAMES, Son of Zadock & Mary Milby. Died January, 9th 1837, aged 5 years, 9 months and 13 days. ------- Go lovely son no longer mine To gaze on beauties all divine, Where endless pleasures shall be thine Though great the loss I thee resign. Thy days on earth but few have been Yet much affliction thou hast seen But freed at last from pain and sin, Thou shalt with saints be welcomed in Thy body in the grave must sleep While I for WILLIAM lonely weep Thy spirit shall with angels meet And shout along the golden street. Farewell my little son farewell-- With me thou must no longer dwell, I hope ere long with thee to tell That Jesus has done all things well.
