Third Saturday Living Histories

All Events

Step back into the past with the Historic Lewes on the third Saturday of each month, April through December, with our featured Living History Days! From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., discover enhanced programming and costumed staff, sharing stories of Lewes from bygone times.  During your visit, see historical demonstrations, participate in hands-on craft activities, play early American games, and enjoy something good to drink from the Sussex Tavern or Lewistown Coffee-House.

Most activities take place on the Historic Shipcarpenter Street Campus (110 Shipcarpenter St.), but be sure to visit the Cannonball House Maritime Museum (118 Front St.), U.S. Life-Saving Service Boat House (Canalfront Park), Ryves Holt House Museum & Mercantile (218 2nd St.), and Lewes History Museum (101 Adams Ave.) for additional programs throughout the day.

Please note that, thanks to a generous 2024 donation, our remaining Third Saturday Living History Days are FREE to attend, but your donations are welcomed to sustain support for our ongoing mission to bring history to life!
