Endowment Profile- Ann Hilaman

Ann Hilaman has volunteered for The Lewes Historical Society for over 20 years working as a docent, Museum Shop manager and as a Trustee. According to Ann, the Society has a strong and critical presence in our community. “The Society depends on all of us to continue this effort through our stewardship. To be a part of this is an honor and a great way to give back.”

Ann believes this so strongly that she has included the Society in her estate plans and, in accordance with LHS Board policy, her bequest will be invested in the Society's Endowment Fund. The significance of an endowment is that your money gets put into long-term quality investments. Your original money remains, while the earnings over time grow to help support the Society; it’s like a gift that keeps on giving.

The Lewes Historical Society, owing to its tax-exempt status, receives the full benefit of all bequests. Making a planned gift through your will or other instrument is perhaps the easiest way to make such a gift to the Endowment. For more information, please contact your estate planner, attorney or financial consultant. If you wish to notify the Society of a planned gift so we may acknowledge it, please contact Mike DiPaolo at (302) 645-7670.
