Children’s Historic Adventures in Reading
60-Minute Read Aloud program for 3rd & 4th Graders
Join the Lewes Historical Society on three Fridays in 2021 for Historic Adventures in Reading. Taking place at the Lewes History Museum’s Family Learning Center, young readers in third and fourth grade can listen and follow along to excerpts of literary classics as they are read aloud. Parents and guardians are welcome.
Children will learn of the exploits of Captains Nemo, Ahab, and Silver, among others. Designed to educate and entertain, a classic novel or selection of poetry will be shared from a period of America’s history. What was it like for young readers to have read these same stories and poems decades ago? Join us on an adventure in reading and find out!
Fridays at 4:30 p.m., each month beginning February 2021: March 12,19, & 26
