Development and Fundraising Volunteers

Description: Development and Fundraising volunteers assist the society in seeking funds to grow the operating budget, programs and special events.

Training: Development/Fundraising volunteers will be closely monitored by The Lewes Historical Society’s Development Assistant and will receive training or instruction for each individual task. Note: These volunteers are not to engage in non-Society sanction solicitation of funds and are not permitted to apply for new funds without explicit permission from the Development Assistant.

Why this position is important: Development/Fundraising volunteers allow the Society to research and obtain new funding sources that will allow the society to fulfill its mission. Without these funds, such as grants or donations, the Society would also be unable to add the necessary staff to operate.
