The Lewes Historical Society has a long tradition of providing high quality students excellent opportunities to do academic research, archival projects, museum projects and field studies in Lewes and the surrounding region. The Society generally provides these opportunities for undergraduates during the summer months. In some cases, stipends are available and housing in Lewes can be provided if needed. Occassionally, opportunities for graduate students do become available.

In the past, students have have helped catalog collections, create exhibits, work on genealogies, and assist in event planning at the Historic Complex.
