Partnership Tours

This year LHS partners with the First State Paranormal Group to offer a fun, spooky, new tour for 2022. Haunted Histories will have guests explore the campus for spirits from our coastal past using technology such as electronic voice phenomena (EVP) recorders, dowsing rods, and a spirit box! The early tour dates were a huge success and two more dates were added, but only a few spots are remaining in the final tour for the year scheduled on November 18th. More tours will be scheduled in the spring.

LHS will also partner with Lightship Overfalls to present Legends of the Bay: After Dark. Each Thursday in October visitors will board LV118 after hours, and experience first hand haunting legends on the water.

The Society's partnership with Cape Water Tours continues this year to offer the popular Spooky Lighthouse Tour, featuring living history characters conjuring haunting tales  at the East End Lighthouse. Offered Oct 27, and Oct 21, climb aboard if you dare.

Oral History

As of September 1st, over eight and half hours of collected oral history recordings, from ten plus members of the Lewes community, have been recorded. As part of this project the Society is working to form a workforce development partnership with the Communications and Multimedia Department at Delaware Technical Community College. Students will gain experience in video editing while assisting in the creation, preservation, and display of these important digital memories.

New Education Brochure

The education department is pleased to introduce a new Educational Outreach and Field Trip brochure that will be mailed to area schools and community groups to bring LHS educational programming to the doorstep of our target audience all across the Delmarva Peninsula.
